Watch Caffeination, a Coffee Nerd's Tour of Portland

The coffee nerds at Caffeination visit Portland for the second episode of their new Internet series (episode one hit San Francisco). In the episode, host Brandon Davenport finds lackluster coffee options at the Portland Saturday Market, enjoys a few pour-overs at Coava Coffee, and chats with Joel Domreis of Courier Coffee about the relative ease of coffee roasting. ("If you can caramelize an onion, if you can cook a steak ... then I think you can roast coffee.")

While here, Davneport also makes an attempt to see "every Stumptown we could find in Stumptown," and at its SE roastery, Stumptown cupper Liam Kenna walks the CaffeiNation team through an extensive cupping. Apparently, per Kenna, "it's industry standard practice to slurp the coffee as loudly and obnoxiously as you can." Go, watch:
