It was cagey on the confirmation last time around, but now it's official: Popular Scandinavian brunch spot Broder will open its second location in the North Portland space long home to the Gotham Tavern. According to a vague but exclamatory message on Facebook:
"The rumors are true! Broder Nord is coming to North Portland in October! The new location will be at 2240 N Interstate Ave, formerly Gotham Tavern, and we couldn't be more excited."
Details are scarce at the moment, but a liquor license application filed last month by co-owner Peter Bro reveals plans to be open breakfast through dinner. The Gotham Tavern, once the stomping grounds of chefs like Tommy Habetz, Naomi Pomeroy, and Gabriel Rucker, permanently shuttered on May 26 after changing hands several times since its original-team shutter in 2006. More information as it becomes available.
