Meat-loving chef Chris Carriker — who departed Old Town's Gilt Club after a four-year tenure earlier this summer — is back in the kitchen at Bruce Carey's seven-year-old spot 23 Hoyt. (Carriker had previously worked at the NW 23rd Avenue restaurant as Chris Israel's sous chef.) Expect some menu changes in the near future, though a rep confirms a menu not quite as "beast-y" as Carriker's famous whole-animal menus at Gilt. [EaterWire]
