The Ox/Lardo Chefwich; Moonstruck's Boozy Chocolates

WEST END/SE HAWTHORNE—Chef Greg Denton (of NE MLK's grill mecca Ox) throws down with his "Chefwich" guest sandwich at Lardo: The "Blame Canada" features roasted turkey, French fries, cheese curds, and foie gras gravy. As with all other guest sandwiches, a portion of proceeds benefits charity; in this case, it's animal welfare organization Guardians of Rescue. The sandwich is available now through October 14. MULTIPLE LOCATIONS—As previously reported, Moonstruck Chocolate has teamed with five Oregon distilleries to create liquor-filled chocolates, and the line of nine truffles (like the House Spirits' Krogstad Aquavit truffle, and a Clear Creek Oregon Pear Brandy truffle) is now available in stores. Because of the treats' alcohol content, buyers must be 21 (Moonstruck needed to apply for an OLCC license to sell the line). [EaterWire]

OLD TOWN—All-ages music venue Backspace is planning a move to the east side, WWeek reports. Owner Eric Robison is working to move the space to NE MLK's former Conga Club space; should the move go forward, "Backspace will remain open as a coffee shop in its current location at a reduced size." [WW]
