The Pearl District's four-and-a-half-year-old restaurant/wine cavern Metrovino has abruptly (and temporarily?) shuttered. Owner Todd Steele confirms that Saturday evening's service was the restaurant's last, for the time being: "I can confirm that we have suspended operations at this time and that service this past weekend was our last. I have no further comments at this time in regards to the matter."
Metrovino debuted in spring 2009 with executive chef Gregory Denton at the helm; when the Dentons departed in 2012, chef Dustin See earned positive reviews, with the Oregonian's David Sarasohn bestowing a "B+" upon the revamped menu. More details as they become available.
