On this week's event-planning EaterWire:

DIVISION/CLINTON—The SE Wine Collective celebrates its collaborative first year with a party this Thursday, September 26, offering sips by the five member wineries — Vincent Wine Company, Helioterra Wines, Willful Wines, Fullerton Wines, and Division Winemaking Company — and free food. Neighboring Cibo will provide complimentary pizzas, cecinas, cheese, and charcuterie to pair with the pours. More information here.

OLD TOWN—Chef Ingrid Chen will welcome Italy's Valle dell'Acate Estate to Remedy Wine Bar on Monday, September 30 with a four-course, Sicilian-inspired feast. Diners can expect courses like a grilled squab, radicchio, and endive salad, and an entree of pork shoulder with delicata squash. Reservations are $60 including wine pairings (or $35 without) and are available by calling 503-222-1449.

DOWNTOWN—The long-stewing James Beard Public Market, slated for the west side's Morrison Bridge bulkhead, is ramping up fundraising with the first "First to Market" event, designed to "provide the community a first glance at what the market will bring to downtown." The public reception, scheduled for Friday, September 27, offers beer, wine, hors d'oeuvres for a $25 donation; the schmoozier can donate $250 for access to a VIP reception. More information and tickets here.

NORTH PORTLAND—The delightfully named Italian food cart Gabagool will celebrate its official "grand opening" with a multi-course menu sampling on Sunday, September 29. From noon to 9p.m., owner Ryan Sherman will offer a four-course meal — featuring dishes like root veggie ravioli in cream sauce and slow-roasted beef on flatbread — for $16. More information here.
