After temporarily closing earlier this summer for renovations, looks like the fast-casual concept Pasta Allegro has officially called it quits. Per an announcement on its official website: "The restaurant location is permanently closed at 3500 NE MLK Jr. Blvd. Details will not be disclosed to the public. Thank you to our supporters for your loyalty and belief in our products." The online message notes that Pasta Allegro will still be available for catering and events.
Owner Tammy Hobrecht opened Pasta Allegro in late May, offering a mix-and-match pasta/sauce menu, as well as set menu of "classic" Italian dishes. The rotating nature of the now-former Pasta Allegro space has been well-documented: Carpaccio Trattoria, Belly, and Terrior were all previous (and relatively short-lived) tenants, with Carpaccio lasting eight months.
