Pastaworks' 30th Anniversary; Dim Sum at Pix Patisserie

HAWTHORNE/NW ALPHABET DISTRICT— Artisan market Pastaworks celebrates an impressive 30th anniversary with a weekend's worth of tastings, samples, and giveaways at both its SE Hawthorne and NW 21st locations. This evening, expect tastings by Alma Chocolate and Pearl Bakery (Hawthorne) and Little T American Baker and Pearl Chocolate (NW), and throughout the weekend, Extracto Coffee Roasters, Bees & Beans, and Fino en Fondo are among the artisans passing by. BURNSIDE Pix Patisserie will host another one of its recurring "Dim Sum Yum Yum" events on Monday, September 30, featuring dim-sum style service and appropriately size pastry portions (served with beverage pairings). NORTH PORTLAND— The artsy folks at Disjecta have inserted a culinary component in this year's lineup, and the first "EAT | ART @ DISJECTA" event is slated for this Monday, September 30.
