Mi Mero Mole's Second Location Now Softly Open in Old Town

Nick Zukin and Pablo Portilla's Old Town outpost of Mi Mero Mole is now softly open (or, as Zukin puts it in an email blast, "sort of" open) in a onetime gallery space at NW 5th and Couch. Though the bar is under construction (and tables are still unfinished), the guisados spot will offer a limited menu during lunch hours only this week, serving all its familiar guisados in taco, burrito, quesadilla, or plate/bowl form. As promised, the restaurant will slowly roll out opening hours until its staff is fully trained: But because service is "in testing/training mode," all food's available at 25 percent off the usual menu price.

One fully open, the Old Town location promises a slightly expanded food menu (compared to the SE Division flagship) and a dedicated bar area; Zukin's hinted at late-night hours and the possibility of breakfast tacos. Mi Mero Mole Old Town is currently open 11a.m. to 3p.m., Monday through Friday. Stay tuned for photos of the space once it's complete.
