DOWNTOWN— Signs of life for the long-stewing Pioneer Place location of the Yard House chain, which was first announced back in 2011: According to OLCC paperwork, Yard House (owned by the Darden Restaurants group, which also owns Olive Garden and Red Lobster) plans a 403-seat restaurant on SW Fifth Avenue. There will apparently be two levels to the restaurant: a 4,200-square-foot main dining room and a 1,600-square-foot mezzanine. Projected opening, per the official site: summer 2014. [EaterWire]
SOUTHEAST— As previously reported, ChefStable's upcoming wine-focused restaurant, Coopers Hall, will offer pre-opening pop-up dinners to test out its menu, and here's what one might expect to eat at the 40-top wineroom. The menu for this Sunday's dinner features courses like house-made focaccia; wilted kale salad with golden raisins and hazelnuts; and herb-rubbed rotisserie chicken with schmaltz potatoes and rapini. More information here. [EaterWire]
EVERYWHERE— For those who prefer their Super Bowls pre-planned and very meaty, Olympic Provisions is offering a "Game Day super pack" including one pound each of its familiar frankfurters, bratwursts, and kielbasa, plus two salamis and a couple beer koozies. The package is available for $80 including two-day shipping. [EaterWire]
