DOWNTOWN— A slew of Portland's top pastry chefs will join forces this weekend for a Chocolate for Congo benefit. Little Bird's Lauren Fortgang will play host to eight other pastry chefs — including Nora Antene (Le Pigeon), Alissa Rozos (St. Jack), Kir Jensen (The Sugar Cube), and Sarah Hart (Alma), among others — in a walk-around tasting at Little Bird this Saturday, January 25. NORTH PORTLAND— Brewer John Harris's Ecliptic Brewing has announced the launch of a monthly prix fixe dinner series, scheduled for the first Tuesday of each month. The "Lunation" Dinner Series will pair Ecliptic's beers with dishes by chef Michael Molitor. The inaugural event, on February 4, offers four courses, including fried oysters and poached egg (paired with the NGC 811 Pale) and grilled yellowtail with uni mousse.
