Saraveza's Meat Raffle; Genoa Keeping A La Carte Menu

NORTH PORTLAND— North Killingsworth's beer bar Saraveza — they of the monthly Free Bacon Nights — will throw its sixth-annual "Meat Raffle" tomorrow, January 31. Lucky meat-lovers can enter a raffle for Saraveza swag and cuts of meat by Chop, Nueske's, and the bar's own smoker, with all proceeds to benefit My Voice Music, a non-profit that works with marginalized youth. SOUTHEAST— After tasting out an a la carte menu for the month of January, the onetime tasting-menu-only restaurant Genoa will shift its menu to offer a la carte options permanently. What remains: Genoa's five-course prix fixe menu will still be available, and chef Jake Martin will change the menu each month. [EaterWire]

NE ALBERTA— Chicago-style pizza restaurant Via Chicago celebrates its first anniversary on NE Alberta with a party all day Saturday, February 1.
