Swank & Swine Slated for Downtown's Paramount Hotel

Portland's parade of ampersanded restaurants continues: The Oregonian reports that Swank & Swine, a concept by Portland's Urban Restaurant Group (Urban Fondue, Brix Tavern), will take over the Paramount Hotel space currently occupied by Tasting East. Per the O, the concept will adapt to the hotel's large 5,800-square-foot space, separated into a "full-service bistro and a whiskey and moonshine bar." (Tasting East had separated the space into a restaurant and the TE:Bar.)

Tasting East is currently still open, and an employee could not confirm a closing date or timeline. But the space has long been on the market; in April 2013, rumors surfaced that hotel operators were courting a steakhouse concept. More on Swank & Swine as it becomes available.
