The age of the Portland cookbook continues, this time quite literally: IFC's love letter to the Rose City, Portlandia, has landed a cookbook deal with publisher Clarkson Potter. According to Publishers Marketplace [sub. required], Fred Armisen, Carrie Brownstein, and show co-creator Jonathan Krisel will collaborate on the book, which will "present the characters in the show and 50 related recipes." (Recipe possibilities: Stu's Stews, rotten banana-laden cocktails, and marionberry pancakes.)
It's not Portlandia's first foray into publishing. The Portlandia Guide for Visitors hit shelves in November 2012 with handy tourist information like a dining guide decoder. The Portlandia Cookbook will get a spring 2015 release; meanwhile, the show's fourth season premieres on IFC February 27.
