Southwest Waterfront Getting a New Bottleshop

Owner of Thirst Wine Bar & Bistro is expanding into the bottleshop biz with a market next door.

Thirst Wine Bar and Bistro is getting a little sister. Leslie Palmer, owner of the wine bar at the Southwest Waterfront, as well as Bistro Marquee near the Keller Auditorium, is transforming the space next to Thirst into a local-focused bottle shop and market called Thirst: Local to Go.

The shop will offer grab-and-go food, bottled beer and wine from local producers, plus an assortment of both beer and wine on tap for growler refills. And for the many dog owners in the area, she's stocking up on local products for pups, too.

In addition to being a place where nearby residents can pick up dinner accoutrements before heading home, the shop will host small private parties, classes and tastings. Palmer plans to open Thirst: Local to Go by December 1st.
