Halloween is coming early to Downtown, with the Stumptown ZombieCon pubcrawl this Saturday, Oct. 18. There will be much fake blood, beer, and staggering. But even more important: Voodoo will be selling lovingly decorated zombie doughnuts.
The 21-and-over event starts at Punch Bowl Social, where artists will be on hand from 1:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. to zombie-fy you for a fee, depending on how disgusting you want to look. At 4:30 p.m. the creepy hordes take to the streets, hitting Rock Bottom brewery, Antic, Berbati's (where there's a Thriller dance lesson), Dixie, Jones Bar, and finishing at the Barrel Room at 10 p.m. There's no cover if you wear a zombie or monster costume, but bring cash for your tab. A portion of the profits from the event will benefit the Oregon Music Hall of Fame, which helps support music education in Portland Public Schools.
If dressing up like a rotting corpse isn't your thing, but you still really want a creepy-cool doughnut, you can special order Voodoo's Halloween doughnuts starting today. Bloody eyeballs and toxic sludge are a few of the options.
