Imagine a multi-course dinner prepared by Greg and Gabi Denton, Jenn Louis, Gabe Rucker, Scott Dolich, and Naomi Pomeroy, presided over by longtime Food & Wine editor-in-chief Dana Cowin. Sound like a dream? It's not. Each of these chefs was named a Food & Wine Best New Chef at some point, and they're all coming together October 28 at Lincoln restaurant to celebrate Cowin's new book "Mastering My Mistakes in the Kitchen" (Ecco).
In her book, Cowin unveils one of her best-kept secrets: She couldn't cook. So she used her considerable connections to embark on what must have been the coolest culinary education ever. Top chefs like Alex Guarnaschelli, Tom Colicchio, David Chang, and Alice Waters took her by the hand and helped her master 100 of her favorite dishes.
Tickets to the dinner cost $100 and include a book, while beverages and gratuity are extra. Call Lincoln for reservations. In addition to the dinner, she'll be talking and signing books at Powell's Cedar Hills Crossing on October 29.
