Four Swallows Shutters on Bainbridge Island; Bellevue Restaurant Shut Down After Cockroaches Found in Food

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND -- After 25 years, Bainbridge Island's The Four Swallows quietly shuttered on Wednesday. Inside Bainbridge reports that the property went on the market in March along with neighboring businesses for a total value of $14.9M. Owners Michael Sharp and Geraldine Ferraro say they hope to reopen in some capacity in the future.

BALLARD -- Caffe Umbria opened a new location in Ballard earlier this month. In addition to traditional Italian-style espresso drinks, Umbria's Ballard branch will feature a Moka bar where stove-top espresso will be the signature drink. All blends at the cafe will be offered in this preparation.

BELLEVUE -- The King County Department of Health shuttered King's Chinese Restaurant in Bellevue on Tuesday for various violations--including cockroaches found in food. Other violations include food stored at unsafe temperatures and improper cooling of "potentially hazardous food."
