On Saturday Nov. 1, Boxer Ramen will celebrate its first anniversary the only way owners Micah Camden and Katie Poppe know how: with crazy deals on food. Usually the duo rain free Little Big Burgers and Blue Star Donuts upon the populace. This time the ramen isn't free, but close enough.
From 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., the four styles of ramen on the menu will be $5 instead of the usual $10. The selection includes:
- Tonkotsu - Shio: traditional pork broth, pork belly, soft poached egg, scallionsSpicy
- Red Miso: spicy pork broth, pork belly, soft poached egg, scallions
- Shiitake - Shoyu: Shiitake mushroom-pork bone dashi. Shiitake mushrooms, soft poached egg, scallions
- Vegetarian Curry: vegetable stock, coconut milk, yellow curry, tofu, mushrooms, corn, scallions
The celebratory deal only applies to ramen, unless you like to think a creatively. Instead of looking at this as a half-price deal, look at it the way we do: "buy one bowl of ramen and get a side of okonomiyaki tots for $1."
