Letting Ned Ludd's Jason French cook for you is delicious enough, but for those who like to get their hands dirty, cooking along side him is even better. On Sunday, Nov. 2 at 12:30 p.m., French is opening the doors at his event space, Elder Hall, to welcome Rob Stuart, Maria Stuart, and Trish Rodgers, the trio behind R. Stuart Winery, and a small group of guests for a lunchtime cook-along.
Everyone will get to be in the kitchen cooking with French to prepare a multi-course meal that includes:
- Smoked ham, mild mustard
- Squash fritters, maple butter
- Soup of autumn vegetables with gremolata
- Salad of chicories, parsley, apples, sprouted legumes, cider vinaigrette
-
lamb, braised kale, creamy caper sauce, roasted autumn vegetables, sage, walnuts
- Chocolate cake with candied squash and caramel
Of course, there will also be plenty of R. Stuart wine. Cost is $75 per person. Call 503-472-4477 to reserve a spot.
