On January 1, 2015, RingSide Steakhouse Eastside, which is situated on the Glendoveer Golf Course, will close for several months to become a more casual grill.

The Oregonian reports that the formal dining room will be remodeled to reflect a more casual atmosphere. And though there will still be steaks, the menu will get an overhaul to reflect the new concept.

Unfortunately, this brings news that restaurant plans to lay off 57 staffers during the renovation, though Craig Peterson, a partner in the restaurant, says they hope to rehire as many people as possible. The restaurant plans to reopen as RingSide Grill in spring 2015.
