Restaurants Honor Military Personnel with Free Ramen, Burgers and More

Because nothing says thank you better than free food.

It's Veterans Day, and several restaurants around town are saying thank you to those who serve, or have served, in the military by offering free food and killer deals today. Just remember to bring your military I.D. card or service card.

Killer Burger: Grab one of the best burgers in town, along with a massive pile of fries. All military, retired and active, eat for free at all Killer Burger locations, and there are seven locations and counting, including the brand-new Eugene spot.

Hapa Ramen: Perfect timing for this blustery day, Hapa Ramen is offering a free bowl of ramen to all military vets. It's tucked into the Tidbit Food Farm and Garden Cart Pod on SE Division and SE 28th.

Trader Vic's: The Pearl's polynesian restaurant is offering vets half-off on all entrées from 4 p.m. to close. Just show your military I.D. card. And non-military can feel good too: The restaurant is donating 10 percent of the evening's sales to the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), a nonprofit that helps wounded service members.

Salty's on the Columbia: Veterans get a special treat when they dine in tonight: a free slice of  White Chocolate Mousse Cake and a $20 gift certificate for a return visit.

Flying Fish Company: Feel like cooking? Vets get 15 percent off at the awesome little fish market on SE Hawthorne today.
