Peter Bro's All-Way Now Open Downtown

Burgers and beer in the former Red Coach space, from the man who brought you Broder.

The man behind forever-popular Broder, Broder Nord and Savoy Tavern, has just opened All-Way, his much-anticipated Downtown diner in the former Red Coach Restaurant space.

The Red Coach shuttered in April 2014 after 55 years in business and the passing of its longtime general manager. It was a favorite among many longtime Portlanders, Bro included, who jumped at the chance to take over the space.

He kept the red booths as promised, and the old-school vibe, but lightened things up and brought in a menu that pays tribute, in part, to In-N-Out style burgers. Think classic quarter-pound patties on a soft housemade bun, served on a paper-lined tray.

There's also fat onion rings, veggie burgers, and entree options like fried chicken and fried fish, which can be made into sandwiches or salads.

To wash it all down, there are two craft beers on tap, plus more by the bottle. As well as wine and house-made sodas. In the very near future, look out for milkshakes and ice cream. Right now, All-Way is open every day until 3 p.m., but is planning to expand its hours for dinner and late-night dining until 11 p.m.

All-Way: 615 S.W. Broadway, Portland, 503-299-6666

Current hours: Monday-Friday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
