Bend-based 10 Barrel Brewing has been in the news a lot in the past few weeks -- but this is the biggest news yet.
On the heels of announcing the new head brewer at their still-under-construction Pearl district pub, and following big wins at the Great American Beer Festival last month, 10 Barrel Brewing is being sold to Anheuser-Busch, The New School reports, and the sale is expected to close by the end of the year.
In the press release, co-founder Jeremy Cox says, "For the past eight years, we've been brewing beer, drinking beer and having fun doing it. We are excited to stay focused on brewing cool beers, get our beers in more hands, and make the most of the operational and distribution expertise of Anheuser-Busch."
Cox says he and his partners -- co-founder and brother Chris Cox, and Garrett Wales -- will continue to lead the company. Watch the video and hear from the founders themselves.
