Welcome to CascadiaWire, a weekly collection of restaurant news from up-and-down the Pacific Northwest corridor.

CAPITOL HILL For practical purposes, you can consider Zhu Dang, Capitol Hill's new "updated" Chinese restaurant, open for business. Technically, the restaurant is still doing "soft openings" for the rest of this week and opening officially next Tuesday at 5 p.m.

PHINNEY After 33 years, Santa Fe Cafe is shuttering on Phinney Ave. According to a staff member, the landlord is not renewing the longtime restaurant's lease. The restaurant's last day in business will be New Year's Eve.

DOWNTOWN — Details are emerging on The Market Hall, the restaurant and marketplace a la Eataly/Dean & Deluca coming to downtown Seattle in early 2015. The space will have an espresso bar, cheese and charcuterie department, pizza oven, sushi, grab-and-go sandwiches and salads, and a 16-foot prepared food section with grilled meats, pasta, seafood, grains, and vegetables.
