For those who want to put together gift baskets with some of Portland's best artisan food and drink items, but cringe at the thought of running all over town, KitchenCru is turning into a one-stop shop Saturday Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You don't even have to worry about the wrapping.
The CruMarket's annual Holiday Build-A-Basket Event rounds up products from a dozen small businesses that operate out of the KitchenCru communal facility. You can pick and choose what you want in your basket(s) and wrap it up all at the same time. Producers include NW Elixirs hot sauces, Bluebird Bakers cookies, Bowery Bagels, Eliot's Adult Nut Butters, Bee Local honey, Fat Dog Mustard, Pinkleton's Caramel Corn, Jacobsen Salt and more. Want to add a bottle of wine? Choose from the selection at CorksCru.
CruMarket staffers are on hand to offer samples, answer questions, and select wine pairings. And if you want someone else to do the work, you can order pre-arranged holiday gift baskets from CruMarket by December 18th.
