New Options for Morning Eats

Three brand-new options to get you out of bed.

Dina Avila/EPDX

Boke Bowl West's dim sum brunch: The team that brings you over-the-top ramen and the world's best Brussels sprouts salad is launching their dim sum brunch this weekend. Rolling carts crisscrossing the dining room will carry small plates of things shrimp har gow, pork and kimchi hum bao, sui mai, black bean spare ribs and profiteroles with banana cream and tamarind caramel. Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pono Farm Soul Kitchen's Southern-inspired brunch: This "Japanese soul food" restaurant, which serves meats from its Bend ranch and butcher shop, is now introducing Sunday brunch. But don't expect the usual Asian-skewed menu. Instead, they're tapping into their ranching roots and offering rib-sticking, Southern-style plates like biscuits and gravy, country-fried pork chops, cheese grits, and breakfast burritos. Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tastebud bagel pop-up at Green Zebra: The big wood-fired oven will be rolling up to Green Zebra grocery store on N. Lombard Saturday morning, baking fresh hot bagels you can devour with cream cheese or turned into bagel sandwiches. Saturday Dec. 13, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
