You have about two weeks to visit one of Portland's oldest Chinese restaurants before it closes its doors for good.
The Liu family opened Hunan Restaurant, a Chinese-American classic tucked away in Downtown's historic Morgan's Alley, in 1979. But after 35 years in business, owner David Liu says in a press release that health issues are forcing him to let it go.
The restaurant is a landmark for generations of Portland families, and a lunchtime go-to for the Downtown office crowd. The final lunch and dinner service will be Sunday, December 28.
Hunan Restaurant, 515 SW Broadway, Portland; 503-224-8063.
