That Time When Jerry Seinfeld Went to Coava Coffee

The Portland episode of "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" dropped today.

Back at the end of September, the Portland Twitterverse was all a'twitter over Jerry Seinfeld's trip to Coava Coffee's original location on NE Grand.

And rightly so, because it meant the comedy kingpin had brought his popular web TV show "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" to the coffee capital of the world (well, at least in our opinion). Seinfeld was there with "Portlandia" star Fred Armisen, where they fueled up before motoring off in a sweet olive-green vintage Saab to lunch at the Wolf & Bear food cart.

Today the episode became available, so you can get the full scoop on what went down. Just like in "Portlandia," the city and its quirks get ample screen time, including a 7-minute wait for coffee counted on a "Portland Hipster Service Wait-O-Meter." Although Seinfeld does declare the coffee so good, "It's a reason to live here."
