Luc Lac's Reopening Date; Taste of the Nation in April

DOWNTOWN— After a couple construction delays, Luc Lac Vietnamese Kitchen has announced its re-opening date: The pho-and-cocktails spot will make its post-renovation debut on Valentine's Day (this Friday, February 14). The restaurant has been closed since mid-December, shooting past its original re-opening date of mid-January. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN— The annual gorge-yourself-for-charity event Taste of the Nation has already sent out save-the-dates for its 2014 installment: TotN Portland will take over McMenamins' Crystal Hotel & Ballroom on W. Burnside April 29. The complete chef line-up hasn't been finalized yet, but tickets are already on sale at $85 for general admission and $150 for VIP. More information here. [EaterWire]
