After pioneering the method in the early aughts, Stumptown Coffee Roasters has stopped serving French press coffee at some locations. Sprudge reports that Stumptown's SE Division and Belmont cafes have switched to drip coffee, with plans to roll out drip coffee service at all Portland locations. The coffee blog argues that the swap "should be viewed as a major moment in the progression of a dominant trend": Stumptown's NYC and LA locations already used the filter coffee system.
