The new season of Portlandia premieres on IFC next Thursday, February 27, but there's an 11-minute short film that reveals the secret black ops organization responsible for making vegetables trendy. At an undisclosed location in Portland, down-on-his-luck celery salesman Marty (played by Steve Buscemi) finds himself pressured by a group that's used to strong results: "Kale consumption is at an all time high."
After a trip to SE Belmont's Side Street Tavern, Marty agrees to team with an extremely sketchy bacon man to make celery go viral. Things get weirder from there. Go, watch:
