Events at Ración, Genoa, Imperial Bottle Shop, MORE

On this week's event-planning EaterWire:

WEST END— Chef Anthony Cafiero celebrates the one-year anniversary of his modernist restaurant Ración this weekend, with a pair of anniversary dinners. The Friday-evening event is sold out, but tickets are still available to Saturday, March 8's seven-course dinner, featuring favorites from the past year's worth of menus. Expect courses like halibut cheeks with green apple and sour cream ice cream; cauliflower panna cotta with foie gras; and pork tenderloin. Reservations are $75 and available by calling 971-276-8008.

SOUTHEASTGenoa joins forces with two Italian wineries — Sicily's Vino di Anna and Emilia Romagna's La Collina — for a four-course pairing dinner and reception on Sunday, March 2. Winemakers from both properties will be on-hand to discuss their wines; reservations are $85 and available by calling 503-238-1464.

DIVISION/CLINTONBreakside Brewery heads to the Imperial Bottle Shop for a tasting that combines beer, coffee, and bread by nearby Little T American Baker. The pairing event, on Thursday, February 27, features a half-dozen combinations of a Breakside-coffee brew and a Little T creation: Think a pour of Coffee Sesame Ale (which was fermented on top of Stumptown beans) paired with candy-cap mushroom wheat bread. Tickets are $14 and available here.

NW 23RD/ALPHABET DISTRICT— The March installment of the Fireside's recurring "First Sunday" dinner series will welcome Old Salt chef Tim Wastell to collaborate on the a la carte and tasting menus. The Old Salt/Fireside mash-up is set for Sunday, March 2, offering dishes like sturgeon with mushrooms, nettles, and daikon radish; and smoked beef sirloin with fried oysters. As per usual, 15 percent of proceeds will benefit charity, and March's beneficiary is the International Rett Syndrome Foundation. More information here.

NW 23RD/ALPHABET DISTRICT— Bartender-about-town Nathan Gerdes stops into 23 Hoyt for a "cocktail party" on Thursday, February 27 featuring a cocktail tasting and appetizers by chef Chris Carriker. Bacardi is the sponsor — so expect a few tastes of rum — and reservations are $35, all-inclusive. Reservations are available by calling 503-445-7400.
