A tipster reports California-based bubble tea chain Bambu Desserts & Drinks has opened its first Portland location, inside the Powell Station mall (perhaps better known as the Food-4-Less complex). Bambu apparently has a strong following among Chè (Vietnamese beverage dessert) fans: The Portland location boasts a 100-item menu including smoothies, milk teas, Vietnamese coffee, and a Chè deemed the Bambu Special (it features coconut, pandan jelly, longan, and basil seed). Hours of operation: 8a.m. to 8p.m., daily. [EaterWire]
