More Details for SE's Renata; 'Pie Day' Deals for Friday

SOUTHEAST— A few new details emerge for the much-anticipated SE Italian restaurant Renata: Owner Nick Arnerich (who's currently working out ideas at his pop-up Project Grace) tells the Oregonian Renata will feature a "specialty market" with up to a dozen cheeses, wine, liquor, and house-baked bread. Meanwhile, at Project Grace, Arnerich plans a recurring event "at Hokusei on Tuesday nights." Updates as they become available. [OregonLive]

DIVISION/CLINTON— In preparation for fake-holiday "Pie Day" this Friday (3/14, sigh), Lauretta Jean's has been conducting an ongoing, March-Madness-style pie bracket, inviting pie-lovers to cast their vote. On March 14, will offer $3.14 pie and drink specials from 6-10p.m., plus happy hour all day. More information here. [EaterWire]

SOUTHEAST/NW— Both locations of Pacific Pie Company will celebrate Pie Day (still sighing) with $3.14 slices of its sweet pies (think lemon chiffon with gingersnap crust, honey apple thyme, and chocolate peanut butter). [EaterWire]
