OPB goes behind-the-scenes at Jane Hashimawari and William Harper's Japanese pop-up dinner series Ippai, which offers a multi-course, aesthetically driven kaiseki meal. Ippai's dinners feature 115 pieces of custom wood-fired ceramics, often garnished with "hints of nature." Says Hashimwari of the kaiseki tradition: "It's kind of like a dance between the food and the vessels itself being part of the dish." [OPB]
