Whole Bowl's NE Location; Healthy Food at Moda Center

HOLLYWOOD— All-vegetarian food cart the Whole Bowl has opened its fourth area location in NE's Hollywood District: Founder Tali Ovadia's familiar brown rice and bean bowls are now being dished out from a wood-paneled trailer parked at the corner of NE Sandy Boulevard and NE 46th Avenue. LLOYD CENTER— After ushering in new dining options from the likes of Sizzle Pie, Bunk Sandwiches, and Salt & Straw, the Moda Center (home of the Portland Trailblazers) announces the opening of one additional food kiosk. According to the Oregonian, the grab-and-go Plum Tasty offers "nutrient-rich, minimally processed menu items" co-developed by a nutritionist. Plum Tasty is being marketed as a "healthy" option inside the health-care-named Moda Center. [OregonLive]

DOWNTOWN— The VIP chefs for this year's edition of Taste of the Nation Portland have been revealed: On April 29, chefs Vitaly Paley, Andy Ricker, John Gorham, Adam Sappington, and Project Grace/Renata's Nick Arnerich are all slated to serve at the pre-event VIP reception, which benefits the anti-hunger efforts of Share Our Strength.
