EVERYWHERE— In keeping with the hallowed tradition of comedians Instagramming their Portland meals, Aziz Ansari — whose final PDX tour date is tonight at the Keller Auditorium — has posted looks at recent local meals. At Ava Gene's, Ansari reports eating "ALL THE PASTA," while Pok Pok is christened the "Best Thai Food!" [Instagram]
OMG WE'RE ON TV!— Last night's episode of Portlandia transformed NE Alberta bar the Station into the Y2K Cafe, a theme restaurant bedecked in yellow Livestrong t-shirts, Gore/Lieberman campaign posters, and Bondi Blue Apple iMac G3s. Eater National has video of the sketch, which see the mayor explaining the concept: "You put something on a little plinth, you put a light on it, and people freak out. People love eating around nostalgia." [Eater National]
CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL— A Springfield woman has filed suit against SE restaurant Clarklewis, seeking damages after allegedly tripping over a wooden stump used as a doorstop, injuring her wrist. The Oregonian reports the 52-year-old complainant is seeking $159,000: $9,000 for medical bills and the rest for pain and suffering. [OregonLive]
