Food & Wine magazine has revealed their 2014 class of Best New Chefs, and big congratulations are in order to Ox chefs/owners Greg Denton and Gabrielle Quinonez Denton, who have been named to the highly prestigious list. F&W editor Dana Cowin leaked the list this morning via a series of selfies on Instagram, and the Dentons join chefs like Justin Yu (Oxheart, Houston) and Ari Taymor (Alma, Los Angeles) in the 2014 chef's class.
The duo's Argentine-inspired steakhouse Ox debuted in April 2012 and has been wracking up accolades ever since, from Restaurant of the Year nods to semi-finalist nominations from the James Beard Awards. The Dentons posted an Instagram of their own this morning, writing: "Congrats to all @foodandwine Best New Chefs! We are honored and humbled to stand beside you."
UPDATE: The F&W Best New Chefs write-up is now live: "The husband-and-wife team has made their Pacific Northwest restaurant an Argentinean grilling mecca, using fire to cook everything, from rib eyes to cantaloupe, and helping to redefine the steak house along the way."
