Pok Pok impresario and acclaimed cookbook author Andy Ricker — whose first book, Pok Pok: Food and Stories from the Streets, Homes, and Roadside Restaurants of Thailand, hit shelves in October 2013 — will write two sequels inspired by his other popular Portland concepts, Whiskey Soda Lounge and Sen Yai.
Eater National reports Ricker has signed a deal with Pok Pok publisher Ten Speed Press for Thai Drinking Food, featuring recipes for "the rich and varied drinking food of Thailand," and Sen Yai Noodles, "an exploration of the important role of noodles in Thai cooking." The team behind the Pok Pok cookbook, co-author JJ Goode and photographer Austin Bush, are also on-board for the sequels. Drinking Food will hit shelves first, in fall 2016, with Sen Yai following in fall 2017.
