CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL— Two bartenders from Seattle's top cocktail spots — Canon and Zig Zag Cafe — will visit Rum Club for the next installment of the bar's guest bartender series, scheduled for Monday, April 28. Canon's Chris Elford and Zig Zag's Erik Hakkinen will stir up drinks to the "Simple Drinks for Complicated Men" theme. The event runs from 9p.m. until 1a.m., with cocktails available a la carte. WEST END— The Multnomah Whiskey Library will focus on mezcal during an April 29 tasting of the entire 2012 series of Wahaka Vino de Mezcal. Three seatings are available for the 45-minute tasting of a seven mezcal line-up; a rabbit mole will accompany the spirits. Reservations are $100 and available here.
CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL— As previously reported, WWeek's annual food cart festival Eat Mobile is set for this weekend — Sunday, April 27 — moving 30 local carts to the parking lot at OMSI for an all-you-can-eat tasting. Gonzo Falafel, Hapa Ramen, Love Belizean, and the Maine Street Lobster Company are among the carts who will be dishing out samples and vying to win a coveted Carty Award. VIP tickets are sold out, but general admission tickets ($30, including all food samples) are still available here.
NW 23RD/ALPHABET DISTRICT— Popular brunch spot Besaw's will look to the old-school Joy of Cooking cookbook for an upcoming wild game dinner series. Chef Michael Uhnak's Built on Game menu, available from April 22 to 26, will offer a three-course prix fixe, with dishes like duck liver pate, grilled pheasant, and a sweet potato pudding to finish. Reservations are $32 and available by calling the restaurant at 503-228-2619.
