Holdfast's May Dinners; Mi Mero Mole's Lardo Chefwich

OLD TOWN— The reservation wire for Will Preisch and Joel Stocks' May line-up of Holdfast Dining pop-ups goes live tonight, April 24, at 8p.m. Expect the months' worth of events (as usual, they'll take place at KitchenCru's 12-seat dining area) to sell out within minutes; of particular note are three special pairing dinners (from May 30 through June 1) featuring bartender Adam Robinson. OLD TOWN/DIVISIONMi Mero Mole's Nick Zukin and Pablo Portilla are the next chefs up in Lardo's recurring "Chefwich" series, and their creation — featuring roasted pork belly, potato, refried beans, egg, and red chile sauce — is on the sandwich menu now. Hacienda Community Development is the charity beneficiary, and Zukin and Co. are offering an additional deal to help raise funds: Show a receipt proving you've eaten the Lardo Chefwich, and receive a free Mi Mero Mole taco.
