Ryan Magarian's Easy Company Is Now Open in Old Town

Ryan Magarian's Old Town bar is ready for visitors: Despite a few fleeting touches like a military crate-as-table, Easy Company — which takes over half of the former Ping space once slated for expansion — is meant to evoke not the WWII battalion, but the laid-back vibe guests may find on an typical evening, says Magarian (best known as co-founder of Aviation Gin and Oven & Shaker). To help, the bar places equal emphasis on cocktails and beer, with 14 beers on tap and more by the bottle (if you're going to have beer, Magarian argues, you might as well be "obnoxious about it"), and 14 "official" cocktails, though a chalkboard underneath the building's staircase includes more classics that can easily be whipped up.

"Grub" is prepared by ChefStable bedfellows at the Lardo commissary kitchen next door, and the brief food menu offers several familiar Lardo items — the pork meatball banh mi, Lardo's double burger, and dirty fries — plus vanilla ice cream sandwiches by Frice Pastry.

In addition to takes on vintage/classic cocktails like the whiskey ginger and Singapore sling, Easy Company's cocktail menu features:
