On this week's event-planning EaterWire:
DIVISION/CLINTON— The SE Wine Collective's series of "Supper Socials" continues with a demonstration and dinner by chef Scott Ketterman and his roving pan party Crown Paella. The Crown Paella Social, scheduled for Sunday, April 12, will feature passed tapas, artisan cheese, and a buffet-style paella main course (laden with chicken, mussels, clams, prawns, and chorizo), all paired with wines from the collective. Reservations are $65 and available here.
NORTHEAST— Alma Chocolate's Sarah Hart will join forces with chef Courtney Sproule during a chocolate-themed dinner at din din Supper Club. The full menu's not set quite yet, but Hart and Sproule promise a multi-course "cocoa-rich" menu during one seating this Friday, April 11. Reservations available by emailing here.
HAWTHORNE— Cafe Castagna will celebrate Italy's Sottimano Cellar during a five-course pairing dinner on Tuesday, April 15. Chefs Zachary Ostrem and Justin Woodward will serve dishes like agnolotti with nettles and Nebbiolo-braised beef short ribs, paired with seven different Sottimano wines. Reservations are $125 and available by calling the restaurant at 503-231-7373.
OLD TOWN— The Museum of Contemporary Craft in Old Town will welcome Gabe Rosen and Kina Voelz for a Biwa pop-up celebrating the museum's current The Unpredictable Nature of Fire exhibit. The four-course dinner — featuring Biwa's familiar preps of sashimi, ohitashi, and tsukemono, among other bites — will be served on handmade pottery and ceramics by Careen Stoll. The $60 reservation also includes sake pairings; more information and tickets are available here.
