NEWBERG— Nearly six months after its "tavern" counterpart made its debut, the dining room at Paul Losch and Kyle Lattimer's Newberg spot Ruddick/Wood is set to debut on Tuesday, April 15. The 56-seat restaurant will now provide the site for lunch, dinner, and brunch service — which were previously available in the tavern space — and all will feature expanded menus. For dinner, expect dishes like roasted duck breast with herb dumplings; a spicy seafood stew of scallops, mussels, and rockfish; and leg of lamb. [EaterWire]
CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL— Tickets are already on sale for the beer community's annual FredFest, the rare-beer-fueled celebration of local legend Fred Eckhardt. This year, Hair of the Dog Brewing will play host to the event, scheduled for May 4. Though the final list of beers has yet to be revealed, tickets are available for both tastings: One from 1-4:30p.m., the other at 5:30-9p.m. [EaterWire]
E. BURNSIDE— As previously reported, food cart Pizza Box has relocated to the lot at E. Burnside's Boogie's Burgers and Brew (the new location will see Pizza Box expand its late-night hours in the near future). The cart will celebrate with a re-opening party on Sunday, April 12, featuring free pizzas and — brace — "a special appearance by Portland's Unipiper." More information here. [EaterWire]
