Maurice's Monthly Brunch; Limited Company Pops Up

DOWNTOWN— Chef Kristen Murray's pastry luncheonette Maurice will launch a recurring prix-fixe brunch on the final Sunday of each month. The inaugural "Piknik Brunch" event, scheduled for Sunday, May 25, offers five courses in two seatings, with dishes like a spring vegetable quiche, Norwegian meatballs with polenta clafouti, and Murray's signature Meyer lemon pudding cake. Reservations are $38 (with an optional $26 drink pairing) and available here. [EaterWire]

POP-UPS— Another pop-up to add to the always-growing list: Le Pigeon cook Andrew Mace and Eater Young Guns semifinalist Nora Antene have announced the next two dates for their Limited Company pop-up: A handful of seats are available for a 11-13 course dinner on Sunday, May 25 (at Langbaan), including all plates and beverage pairings by Ava Gene's alum Hunter Daugherty. On June 26, Limited will pop-up at the SE Wine Collective's recurring Supper Social events. [EaterWire]

ST. JOHNS— St. John's three-year-old Girasole Wood Fired Café has launched a Kickstarter campaign in an effort to raise funds to build out a bar and re-design the restaurant's existing dining room. (Owners Emily Andrews and Brittany Cavallero note the changes, including a full bar with cocktail menu, "will appeal to a broader range of the community," and they're seeking $29,000 in funds.)
