The slow march to Feast Portland 2014 starts right now: Festival organizers Mike Thelin and Carrie Welch have revealed the complete(ish) chef and event lineup for this year's belt-loosing installment, scheduled for September 18 to 21, 2014. Chefs Hugh Acheson, Jamie Bissonnette, Dominique Crenn, Paul Kahan, Edward Lee, and Ari Taymor are among the confirmed out-of-town guests who will participate in now-annual events like the Sandwich Invitational, Asian-themed Night Market, and in pop-up collaborative dinners around town.
But a few new events are also on the calendar: Bon Appétit will toast its as-yet-unannounced 2014 class of Best New Restaurants during a multi-course dinner prepped by past winners. A dinner series stationed in Old Town's KitchenCru space will highlight everything from female chefs (Kuniko Yagi, Christina Tosi) to pop-up concepts. And a Sunday-morning "Brunch Village" promises food by Aaron Franklin and NYC's line-inducing Black Seed Bagels.
