NORTHEAST— As previously reported, Toro Bravo chefs John Gorham and Kasey Mills will appear as a team on Esquire TV's culinary competition Knife Fight, and the duo will throw a screening party on Tuesday, May 20 as the episode airs. The event, at Toro neighbor Tavin's Pub, will feature a cash bar, charcuterie, and Dragonfruit Punch (spoiler alert: dragonfruit was apparently a required ingredient in the episode). The screening starts at 8p.m. (the episode airs live on Esquire TV at 9:30p.m.). More information here. [EaterWire]

CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL— The next installment of Union/Pine's recurring Association dinner series is set for this Sunday, May 18, featuring chef Jason Barwikowski cooking up product from Sandy, Oregon's Stargazer Farm. Celebrated bartender Evan Zimmerman will also be on-hand, mixing drinks from his North+Lands keg cocktail company, and dessert will be provided by Maurice's Kristen Murray. Tickets are $65 to the multicourse meal and cocktail hour, and are available here. [EaterWire]

THE COAST— For those heading to the coast this weekend, McMenamins' Gearhart Hotel hosts its annual James Beard tribute dinner tomorrow, May 17. The event — timed to the culinary legend's birthday each year — features a six-course dinner cooked up by Black Rabbit chef Kenny Giambalvo, wine pairings, a passed hors d'oeuvres reception, and a short screening of America's First Foodie, the James Beard documentary. Tickets are $95, all-inclusive, and available here. Below, check out the trailed for the First Foodie film:
