Cork to Reopen on Alberta; Reverend's Opens for Lunch

NE ALBERTA— After a five-month hiatus, Darryl Joannides's Alberta wine shop Cork will re-open this weekend as a hybrid bottle shop and tasting room for Joannides's Viola Wine Cellars. According to a press release, a remodel sees the former Cork space cut in half but featuring a tasting bar and pared down retail wine, chocolate, and olive oil selection. Joannides will also launch a "Wine Finds" service that fulfills online order requests and arranges for in-store pickups. Cork re-opens this Friday, May 23; more information here. [EaterWire]

SELLWOOD— As promised, Sellwood's Reverend's BBQ has officially launched lunch service, offering a slightly smaller (but still ample) midday menu of sandwiches, barbecue plates, and salads. Reverend's is now open starting at 11:30a.m., serving the lunch menu until 4p.m., daily. [EaterWire]

NORTHEAST— To perhaps kick-start more Kickstarter fundraising, the Ned Ludd team will hold an "Open House" for its upcoming community space Elder Hall tomorrow (Tuesday, May 20) offering complimentary "bites and beverages." The space will be open for tours and snacking from 5p.m. to 8p.m. [EaterWire]
