The east side's hidden restaurant Sauvage, the dining room/bar of the Fausse Piste Winery, will close by the end of the month. Chef/owner/winemaker Jesse Skiles announced the impending closure on Facebook today, noting that the winery will carry on after the restaurant's shutter:
After much thought and reflection we have decided to close Sauvage on Saturday the 31st of May. It has been a great run and many heartfelt thanks to those who supported us over the last 23 months, we feel proud about the food we were able to prepare and the wines we were fortunate enough to share.
Sauvage debuted in July 2012, offering a short-but-sweet menu designed to complement the winery's current releases; it received largely positive reviews in its nearly two-year run. Last call is is Saturday, May 31.
